Reddit Addict on Ubuntu Linux?
Anyone had success installing and running RedditAddict Lite on Ubuntu Linux? I’ve installed Adobe Air, and installed the appropriate .air package, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to actually run it. (And there’s no documentation on the RedditAddict Lite page itself.)
Anyway, leave a comment if you’ve gotten it worked out. If I get it worked out, I’ll post my solution. Thanks!

Hi—I had trouble installing RAL on RHEL5 when it tried to install AIR for me too. I installed AIR separately then ran the .air file using AIR, and it installed fine.
I also told it to install an icon on the desktop, and I can run it from there.
On RHEL5, the executable got installed (by default) to the /opt/RedditAddictLite/bin dir.

Thanks for the info, CJ.
Turns out that Adobe Air segfaults on AMD systems running Ubuntu. See http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1138825.html for a little more information.
For what it’s worth, here’s the error messages my terminal gives me:

OH, and one more thing—It does not play any sound alerts. I cannot even preview the sounds using RAL’s UI. I suspect something is wrong with my RHEL5 sound setup. I am using arts, currently, and other apps are producing sounds fine.
